Primary 1 Registration

Primary 1 registration for children starting school in August 2027 will take place from:

The online enrolment form will become available on 2 November 2026. Families should be notified of their confirmed Primary 1 place no later than February 2027.

Following confirmation, the school will contact parents and carers with information about transition events, open days and visits ahead of the new school session.

What You Will Need

Before beginning the application, families should have:

• Your child's personal and contact details.
• The name of the local catchment school you wish to register your child for.
• A digital copy of your child's birth certificate, if requested.
• Suitable proof of your home address, if requested.

If you are unsure which school serves your address, please check your catchment area before completing the application.

Deferred Entry

If you are considering deferring your child's entry to Primary 1 in August 2027, you should still register them online for their catchment school while the deferral process is being considered.

Deferred-entry applications can be submitted throughout the year. Glasgow City Council advises that submitting an application by 31 March is helpful for planning purposes.

In-Term Enrolment

If your family moves into Glasgow or into the catchment area for St Clare's Primary School during the school year, you can apply to enrol your child through Glasgow City Council's in-term enrolment process.

You may be asked to provide proof of your new address. Please complete the online application as soon as possible to allow the request to be processed.
