Welcome from the Headteacher
It is my great privilege to welcome you to the website of St Clare’s Primary School.
As Headteacher, I am incredibly proud to lead a school where our children are at the heart of everything we do. St Clare’s is a warm, welcoming and inclusive school community where we want every child to feel happy, safe, valued and ready to achieve their full potential.
Our school motto, “All Together Every Day, Partnership in Every Way,” captures what I believe makes St Clare’s such a special place. We know that children achieve their best when school, home, parish and the wider community work together. Building strong and positive relationships with our children and families is therefore central to everything we do.
At St Clare’s, we have high expectations for all of our learners. We want our children to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to succeed, but education is about much more than academic achievement alone. We want our children to be kind, respectful and compassionate; to believe in themselves; to recognise their own talents; and to understand the difference they can make to the lives of others.
As a Catholic school, our faith and Gospel values are woven through the life of St Clare’s. Inspired by the example of Jesus and our patron, St Clare, we encourage our children to show love, friendship, forgiveness and respect in their relationships with one another. We are proud to be an inclusive community in which every child and family is welcomed, respected and valued.
Our dedicated staff work hard to provide engaging, challenging and enjoyable learning experiences while ensuring that children receive the support they need to thrive. We continually reflect on and develop our practice so that St Clare’s remains a school that looks forward with ambition while remaining firmly rooted in the community we serve.
I feel enormously fortunate to serve as Headteacher of St Clare’s and I look forward to working in partnership with our children, staff, parents and carers, parish and wider community as we continue to build on the strengths of our school.
I hope our website gives you a flavour of life at St Clare’s and the wonderful learning, achievements and experiences of our children. If you are already part of our school community, thank you for your continued support. If you are visiting our website as a prospective family, we hope that you will quickly see the warm welcome that awaits you at St Clare’s.
